There is nothing quite like being at the beach with a great book and I sure have a recommendation that fits that plan to a tea. I just wish that I was on Edisto Island and if I were, I would sure read it again. It has everything I like in a good book. In fact, I liked it so much that I wrote about it on Squidoo and I hope you take the time to find out what the 5 Reasons I Like "The Time Between" by Karen White.

A Nickel and A Prayer by Jane Edna Hunter
I just downloaded "A Nickel and A Prayer" by Jane Edna Hunter onto my Kindle and am anxious to read this autobiography. Jane Edna Hunter was born in Pendleton SC and grew up in a slave cabin on Woodburn. She left and eventually made her way to Cleveland where she founded the Phillis Wheatley Association providing housing, training, and recreation to young black women. She made some very wise investments in the stock market and ultimately became a millionaire and started a foundation to provide scholarships.

Killing Lincoln by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard
This book was so very interesting and I learned a lot about this time in our Nation's history. I thought I knew everything there was to know about this period but I was so wrong. Author Bill O'Reilly brings the characters to life and I felt like I knew each one of them personally. He goes into great detail about their appearances and personalities giving the reader factual accounts of this tragic event. The weeks before Lincoln was shot and the weeks following the assassination are filled with more than just facts. It reads more like a thriller novel and is a definite "page turner". I was absorbed in this book from the beginning to the end and highly recommend it for anyone who is interested in American history. Killing Lincoln Review by OhMe
